A Buddhist temple is one of the few buildings left standing after the tsunami surged eight kilometres inland, to the town of Rikuzentakata.<br /><br />More than 800 bodies have been recovered so far and more than a thousand are still missing in the town of 23,000. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Marga Ortigas met with residents there who are slowly rebuilding their lives.
