Of the 469 members of Nigeria's national assembly, only 44 of them are women.<br /><br />Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan has promised to appoint women in 35 per cent of political posts, if he wins next week's presidential elections.<br /><br />Meanwhile, dozens of women are preparing for an uphill battle in the poll beginning on April 9.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege reports from Anambra state in south-eastern Nigeria.
