China's rise to becoming a global superpower has led to much debate about how the country is exercising its dominance.<br /><br />Not least in China itself, where the youth are questioning whether or not this power is a force for good.<br /><br />While China's younger generation enjoying life in a way their parents would have never dreamed, their euphoria is qualified, by a sense of duty.<br /><br />For some, this is expressed in pride and patriotism. Others are more skeptical of their leaders, raising their voices through the medium of a dynamic youth counterculture.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Melissa Chan reports from Beijing.
