A memorial has continued to grow outside the Colorado movie theatre where 12 people were shot dead.<br/> <br />As the community comes to terms with the tragedy, Christian Bale visited victims recovering in hospital.<br/> <br />The actor stars as Batman in the "The Dark Knight Rises" - the film showing in Aurora when a gunman stormed the cinema.<br/> <br />Local media said Bale spent two and a half hours meeting victims and staff.<br/> <br />Stories of heroism have also continued to emerge.<br/> <br />Allie Young credits her best friend for saving her life.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: SHOOTING VICTIM ALLIE YOUNG, SAYING (English):<br/> <br />"She put her fingers over my artery, where my carotid artery was, had exploded, it is where I got shot, and so she puts her fingers over there and then everyone's like, running out."<br/> <br />On Monday (July 30) formal charges are expected to be filed against suspect James Holmes.<br/> <br />Sarah Charlton, Reuters.
