Several people have been injured in Senegal during a demonstration over proposed changes to the constitution.<br /><br />Protesters, on Thursday, said that the legislation would further strengthen President Abdoulaye Wade's power base.<br /><br />The changes include creating the post of Vice President.<br /><br />Another proposal to lower the percentage of votes required to win next year's presidential election has since been dropped.<br /><br />Al Jazeera spoke to Abir Saksouk-Sasso, a witness to the protests in Dakar, Senegal.
