Five activists in the United Arab Emirates have been sent to jail for insulting its leaders and demanding political reforms.<br /><br />Prominent blogger Ahmed Mansoor received a three-year sentence while four others were handed two-year jail terms, and they are not able to appeal.<br /><br />They were arrested in April after signing an online petition demanding political reforms.<br /><br />Samer Muscati from Human Rights Watch, who was in the courtroom, speaks to Al Jazeera about the case from Abu Dhabi.
