Thousands of people across Pakistan have demonstrated against a NATO cross-border air attack that killed 25 soldiers.<br /><br />In Karachi, crowds gathered outside the US consulate shouting anti-American slogans and in Lahore protesters burned US flags. <br /><br />Pakistan's government says the soldiers died when NATO helicopters and fighter jets fired missiles on two army checkpoints in the country's northwest.<br /><br />In response to the attack, Pakistan's government has told the US to leave an air base in the country's south east and has cut off NATO's supply route to Afghanistan. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab reports from Pakistan.
