Laurent Gbagbo, the former president of the Ivory Coast, has appeared before judges from the International Criminal Court in a pre-trial session.<br /><br />Gbagbo will be charged by the ICC with crimes against humanity, including murder and rape, over violence after last year's November 28 polls.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Tim Friend reports from The Hague, in the Netherlands.
