PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL.<br/> <br />Sherman Hemsley, the actor best known for his role as George Jefferson on the TV show, "The Jefferesons," has died.<br/> <br />The actor was found dead in his El Paso, Texas home, the cause and time of death was not immediately known.<br/> <br />After his ten year stint on "The Jeffersons," Hemsley played a deacon on the sitcom "Amen."<br/> <br />From there he went on to guest star on hits including "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" to "Family Guy."<br/> <br />Hemsely was 74-years-old.<br/> <br />Alicia Powell, Reuters.
