Despite soaring petrol prices, most US residents are trading in fuel-saving hybrid cars and returning to vehicles with traditional engines. <br /><br />New research shows that some 65 per cent of hybrid car owners would not choose to buy another one, with many buyers saying that petrol-electric cars are far too expensive to maintain. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Lisa Fletcher reports from New York.
