The Plano, Texas headquarters of the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group has earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold Certification for a multi-use building from the U.S. Green Building Council. The combination of offices, research facilities, and a data center had previously earned an EPA Energy Star rating in 2011, recognizing continued work to reduce energy use each year since 2008. <br /><br />HP has announced this year’s winner of the HP/Junior Achievement Social Innovation Relay. The winning concept, a solar-powered lamp made from recycled materials, was submitted by Emulsified Environmentalists, a team of South African students.
