There have been more massive anti-government protests in various cities across Syria demanding an end to President Bashar al-Assad's 11-year rule.<br /><br />The city of Hama witnessed one of the biggest demonstrations on Friday, as people marched through the streets, unfurling a long Syrian flag.<br /><br />Activists say security forces killed more than 20 people in the government's continued crackdown on pro-democracy protesters.<br /><br />But protesters have vowed to step up their demonstrations even throughout the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Caroline Malone reports.
