In Syria, the government's attempts to crush protesters has only made them more defiant.<br /><br />Everytime they step out onto the streets, they risk being killed or injured by their own army.<br /><br />Human rights groups have said the government has killed an estimated 2,000 people since March. But still, protesters continue to march in cities across the country.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Zein Basravi reports.
