Egyptians demand retribution for policemen killed by Israel

2012-07-26 3 Dailymotion

Family members of the policemen killed by the Israelis on the Egypt-Israel border mourn their deaths.

The father of Taha Ibrahim said "My son was intentionally killed by bullets. We want retribution....It's a shame not just for me, but for Egypt."

Egyptians took to the streets for a second day in a row outside the Israeli embassy in Cairo to demand the expulsion of the ambassador and the closure of the embassy.

The deaths on the border are a serious test for Egypt-Israeli relations. Recent events outside the embassy are an indication that diplomacy may not be the answer any more, but rather the sound of the street.

While the Israeli secretary of Defense has expressed his country's regret over the deaths, for the protesters this is not enough.

Al Jazeera's Rawya Rageh reports from Cairo, Egypt.
