Tropical storm Nanmadol is heading for China after leaving Taiwan in chaos.<br /><br />The storm drenched southern and eastern Taiwan and prompted evacuations and major travel disruptions, on Monday. <br /><br />China is now preparing for Nanmadol in the Fujian province, where it is expected to hit some time on Tuesday, the China Meteorological Administration said on its website.<br /><br />Nanmadol has weakend and has been downgraded from a typhoon to a storm, but it is still expected to to dump half a metre of rain on the island.<br /><br />Thousands of people in the south have been told to leave their homes ahead of possible landslides.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett reports.
