Bangladesh serves as the last port of call for ageing ships throughout the world.<br /><br />But alongside some of the world's biggest ship breakers, there is a boom in shipbuilding in the country.<br /><br />The global economic crisis has meant many shipping companies have cancelled their big orders, so the yards of Bangladesh are building smaller and cheaper ships instead.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Nicolas Haque reports from the southern port city of Chittagong.
