A Ugandan opposition leader, Kizza Besigye, was released without charge hours after being detained by police for the second time this month.<br /><br />Besigye was participating in an "walk to work" protest against high prices and government corruption when he was arrested.<br /><br />His arrest was sharply critcised by the UK-based rights organisation, Amnesty International, in a report on Monday which states that lack of tolerance by Ugandan authorities towards critics is leading to repressive policies and restrictions on media and rights activists.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Malcolm Webb reports from Kampala.
