European shares fell in choppy trade as uncertainties over the selection of a new leader in Italy added to investors' jitters.<br /><br />Greece may have chosen a new leader, but the debt problems there still threaten the whole of the eurozone.<br /><br />The European Union's economic watchdog predicts some countries in the region could be heading for recession in 2012.<br /><br />As European Union's debt crisis continues to spiral out of control, governments have moved quickly to deny they're preparing for some members leaving the eurozone.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Nadim Baba reports.
