A man killed a police officer and then apparently killed himself at Virginia Tech, police and school officials said.<br /><br />Virginia Tech was the site of America's worst ever single shooting incident back in 2007, when 32 people were killed and 25 others wounded after a student opened fire at them on campus. <br /><br />Senior University figures were given news of the recent shooting while in Washington, appealing against a federal fine imposed because of a poor response during the 2007 incident.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports from Washington.
