In the Syrian city of Homs, thousands of people gathered in the streets to protest against the regime as Arab League monitors arrived there as part of a plan aimed at ending the crisis.<br /><br />Residents of the area want to get the attention of the observers, as they say the government's violent crackdown on dissent continues.<br /><br />So far, the head of the mission inside the country says the Syrian government has been co-operative. Observers will visit Homs again on Wednesday.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Dorsa Jabbari reports.
