ROBERT BURNS SCOTTISH POEM<br />"Auld Lang Syne" is a Scottish poem written by Robert Burns in 1788. It is sung to the tune of a Scottish folk-song. It is often sung to celebrate the start of the new year at the stroke of midnight. It is about the days gone by and old friendship. Many a times lyrics in Burns Scottish is replaced by modern English.
