Karkhano Bazaar is situated between the frontier city of Peshawar and the trubulant tribal region of Pakistan. When the Khyber Pass that links Afghanistan is closed, locals carry goods on their backs over the mountains.<br /><br />It is an area with no agriculture, industry or jobs; smuggling is a way of life.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder reports
