Floods triggered by relentless rains across large parts of China forced hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes on Thursday, state television CCTV reported.<br/> <br />In southern China's Guangxi province, rescuers in Baise evacuated more than 100 trapped residents after heavy rains flooded their homes, state media said.<br/> <br />Downpours that began Sunday in southwest China's Chongqing caused flooding up to seven metres (22 feet) in depth, according to CCTV.<br/> <br />In total, the storms have affected about 9.2 million people across China and forced about 1.18 million residents to evacuate, Xinhua said earlier in the week.
