The European Union has sent a mediator to the Balkans to try to calm escalating tensions between Serbia and Kosovo.<br /><br />Serbian officials met the official to discuss the recent unrest in Serb-majority northern Kosovo, but representatives from the NATO-led Kosovo force refused to join the mediation. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Charlie Angela reports.
