Hosni Mubarak has appeared in court for the first day of his trial.<br /><br />Laying on a hospital stretcher inside a cage, and dressed in prison uniform, the 83-year-old former Egyptian president denied all the charges against him, including the charge of ordering the killing of protesters.<br /><br />Many Egyptians were delighted to see their former president humbled.
