Al Jazeera has obtained an exclusive interview with Abdelati Obeidi, Muammar Gaddafi's foreign minister, who is being detained in the capital, Tripoli.<br /><br />He was said to have been taken into custody at his farm in Janzour, a suburb west of Tripoli, on Tuesday.<br /><br />Speaking under armed guard from a safehouse in the Libyan capital, Obeidi said he had given himself up to the National Transitional Council for his own safety.<br /><br />Obeidi, who said he was being treated well, called on Gaddafi's forces to put an end to the bloodshed.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's James Bays reports from Tripoli.
