A Nigerian armed Islamist group has carried out a series of attacks in the Yobe state capital of Damaturu, leaving more than 100 people dead.<br /><br />The blasts occurred just before Eid al-Adha, or the feast of sacrifice, celebrated by Muslims around the world.<br /><br />Boko Haram has been active since 2002, with its fighters killing hundreds of people. <br /><br />Most Nigerian Muslims are opposed to the group's tactics, but with a high level of unemployment, the group seems to have little trouble finding new recruits.<br /><br />Many people blame the government for its failed strategy in fighting Boko Haram.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Azhar Sukri reports.
