(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Floods triggered by Typhoon Saola have killed eight people in the Philippines as of Tuesday (July 31), disaster management officials said.<br/> <br />Rivers swelled, and flooding in Manila and coastal provinces has forced more than 145,000 people to flee their homes and seek shelter on higher ground.<br/> <br />Heavy rains caused landslides while strong winds toppled trees, damaging homes and killing at least one person in Laguna province.<br/> <br />Two people died in Benguet due to landslides, local media reported, and at least five other people died from drowning, the disaster management office said.<br/> <br />Saola was moving northward at 7 kph (4 mph), with gusts of up to 150 kph (93 mph) and was heading towards southern Taiwan and southern China.
