(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Twelve miners were trapped in a coal mine that flooded on Wednesday (August 1) in China's northern Shanxi Province.<br/> <br />China's CCTV on Thursday (August 2) said more than 300 rescuers were on site attempting to rescue the miners.<br/> <br />At least four miners who were in good health managed to speak with rescue workers over the phone, CCTV reported, without elaborating on the conditions of the other eight miners.<br/> <br />Twenty-two miners escaped when the shaft was flooded.<br/> <br />Rescuers brought in 13 pumps to try to drain the estimated 8,000 cubic metres water from the pit.
