This newly-released video purports to show 48 Iranian men detained over the weekened by rebel forces in Syria.<br/> <br />The footage was posted to a social media website and Reuters is unable to independenlty verify its content.<br/> <br />The Free Syrian Army accuses some of the men of being members of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards, which they say is helping prop-up Syria's embattled government.<br/> <br />A rebel officer pointed to the ID of one of the men, saying it proved he was a member of the Guards.<br/> <br />Iran has denies this, saying the men were on a pilgrimage to Damascus when they were kidnapped on Saturday.<br/> <br />Several Iranian pilgrims have been detained by rebel forces since a bloody uprising began 17 months ago against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.<br/> <br />Andrew Raven, Reuters
