Rebels deny reports that they have lost control in Aleppo.<br/> <br />They continue to take up arms in the face of overwhelming force from government fire in the Salaheddine district.<br/> <br />With ammunition running out they they have pulled back in certain areas.<br/> <br />Streets in the center of Salaheddine have been abandoned.<br/> <br />One man searches for what he lost<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) UNIDENTIFIED RESIDENT, SAYING:<br/> <br />"Everything fell on our heads. I came to check to see if my house was destroyed. No more than that. I hope that everything will calm down and that everything will go back to normal and that the country will get back to normal."<br/> <br />With so much blood already spilt since the uprising began last march, streets have turned into an urban wasteland.<br/> <br />Syrian State TV says the government has retaken Aleppo but rebels have not given up the fight. They continue to pay the price for a battle with no end in sight.
