ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> <br />A car bomb blast in Yemen killed a local military official on Thursday in the port city of Mukalla, according to state-run Saba news agency.<br/> <br />Brigadier Omar Salim Ba-Rashid, a dean of a Yemeni military academy, died in the blast along with his bodyguard.<br/> <br />His son was also wounded, according to the al-Masdar news website.<br/> <br />Yemen declared victory in June over militants calling themselves Ansar al-Sharia (Partisans of Islamic Law), but they continue to pose a serious threat, despite losing control over territory they controlled for most of last year.<br/> <br />However, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
