Some 24,000 people have gone missing in Mexico since President Felipe Calderon declared war on the drug cartels in 2006.<br /><br />Many of the disappeared turn up dead but it can take months for their bodies to be identified. <br /><br />Nearly 16,000 bodies remain unidentified, according to the government.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rachel Levin reports from Monterrey.
