Rebels in the town of Ariha are stepping up efforts to block a main artery to Aleppo, a key route due to its proximity to the Aleppo-Latakia highway that connects Syria's largest city with the Mediterranean coast.<br /><br />Over the past two weeks, the army has been using the highway to deploy tanks and armoured vehicles from Tartus on the coast, to Aleppo.<br /><br />If the route is blocked, it would be a major blow to the government force's supply lines.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Khadija Magardie has this exclusive report.
