Fast moving wildfires in the Pacific Northwest U.S. have engulfed thousands of acres of land.<br/> <br />Officials say at least two dozen buildings and about 2,800 acres have been destroyed in Washington state.<br/> <br />Buildings at a chimpanzee sanctuary have been burned, but officials say the chimps were unharmed.<br/> <br />About 100 people have been displaced by the fire.<br/> <br />In northern California, fires have burned about 7,000 acres so far.<br/> <br />Officials say nearly 1,100 firefighters and more than 130 fire engines are on the scene.<br/> <br />No injuries have been reported.<br/> <br />The cause of the fires is under investigation.
