(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION )<br/> <br />A gunman is in FBI custody after wounding a guard at the Family Research Council in Washington D.C. on Wednesday (August 15).<br/> <br />The male security guard was shot in the arm after confronting the suspected gunman in the lobby.<br/> <br />Guards wrestled the gunman to the ground and took him into custody.<br/> <br />The wounded guard was sent to a hospital and is now in stable condition.<br/> <br />The Family Research Council is a conservative Christian lobbying group, which strongly opposes same-sex marriage and abortion.<br/> <br />Police said the motive for the attack is unknown, but they thought it "might fall under being considered a hate crime".
