The Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles, hours after witnesses saw Director Tony Scott park his car and apparently leap off it.<br/> <br />The case is being treated as suicide.<br/> <br />Scott was a titan of Hollywood - with blockbusters such as "Top Gun", "Crimson Tide" and "Enemy of the State" among his credits.<br/> <br />His death has created shock amongst peers - local media reported a suicide note was found in his office, but its contents have not yet been revealed.<br/> <br />Scott shot to fame in the 1980s when he directed Tom Cruise in the fighter jet adventure "Top Gun".<br/> <br />He also helmed the submarine blockbuster "Crimson Tide" with Denzel Washington and the espionage thriller "Enemy of the State", starring Will Smith.<br/> <br />He is the brother of fellow director Ridley Scott and had reportedly been working on a new film about a British aid worker in Sudan.
