EDIT CONTAINS 4:3 MATERIAL<br/> <br />A remotely controlled car bomb in southeastern Turkey killed at least eight people and injured dozens others Monday night.<br/> <br />The bomb destroyed a bus, a government shuttle vehicle, and two passing cars.<br/> <br />Demonstrators gathered outside a hospital where victims were being treated.<br/> <br />Although no one has claimed responsibility, a Turkish politician blamed the attack on the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK-- a separatist group who have been fighting an insurgency in the region for the past 28 years.<br/> <br />The explosion is also likely to strain already tense relations between Turkey and Syria.<br/> <br />Turkish officials have accused Syria of supporting the PKK and say they believe Syria is supplying them with arms.
