Walid al-Muallem, Syria's foreign minister, has hit back at international criticism to President Bashar Al Assad's speech on Monday.<br /><br />Speaking in Damascus on Wednesday, he rejected the latest round of European Union sanctions on his government.<br /><br />He also blamed the EU for creating the unrest in his country. But he did call for eased relations with neighbouring Turkey.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Imran Khan reports.
