An Afghan immigrant accused of killing his former wife and three daughters has appeared in court in Canada.<br /><br />Prosecutors say Mohammad Shafia's alleged acts were motivated by anger against what he deemed as his daughters' inappropriate conduct.<br /><br />But in the trial taking place in Kingston, Ontario, Shafia has portrayed himself as a caring father, and family members are expected to testify in his favour.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rob Reynolds reports.
