Libya prepares itself for its first election

Libya's rulers are preparing for the first election since the fall of Muammar Gaddafi, but many are concerned with how the poll will take place, and its impact.<br /><br />Libyan students are being given booklets to explain the election process to them in a basic way. The process is broken down into three stages, and the booklet explains the steps that will be taken in the lead-up to the final government, which will be voted for in 20 months' time.<br /><br />Many political parties have been taking shape, from liberals to Islamists, who are all vying to get a place in the 200-seat national assembly which will be entrusted with drawing up a constitution.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Stefanie Dekker reports from Tripoli.
