Fishermen, scientists and conservationists have argued over what to do about grey seal numbers on the eastern coast of Canada.<br /><br />Once facing extinction, the seal population in Nova Scotia has soared to 300,000 as the demand for fur, oil and seal meat have declined.<br /><br />This population boom is seen by some as a cause of plummeting cod fish stocks, which led to the loss of 30,000 fishing industry jobs.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Daniel Lak reports from Hay Island, Canada.
