In Argentina, the government is using dogs to sniff out US dollars.<br /> <br />As part of a crack down on tax evasion, money laundering and cash being sent overseas, restrictions are being imposed on foreign currency. <br /><br />Those restrictions have made the dollar, seen as a refuge from double-digit inflation, increasing difficult to find on the streets of the Argentine capital.<br /><br />In an effort to curb the smuggling of millions in US dollars to neighbouring Uruguay, the government of Cristina Kirchner, the Argentinian president, has employed dogs to snif out the currency.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Lucia Newman reports from Buenos Aires.
