"Come Down In Time"<br /><br />Written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin<br /><br />As recorded by Lois Lane<br /><br />Released 1971 <br />Dick James Records DJS 255<br /><br />Produced by Stephen James<br />Arranged by Zack Laurence<br /><br />Released as the B side of "You are the Reason".<br />Lois Ann Wilkinson was once one half of the British performing duo The Caravelles along with Andrea Simpson.<br />Their biggest hit was "You Don't Have To Be A Baby To Cry" in 1963.<br />Lois left The Caravelles in 1968 to pursue a solo career under the stage name Lois Lane.<br />She recorded a number of singles on various labels, and was under contract with Dick James Music in 1970.<br />Lois is still active in the music business, as a jazz singer and doing voice-over work.<br />Her last album was with the John Horner Quintet, released in 2002.<br /><br />Elton John's own definitive recording appears on "Tumbleweed Connection", released on 30 October 1970.<br /><br />Several other artists and groups recorded the song in 1971; including Lulu, Al Kooper, Eugene Pitt & The Jyve Fyve, Lani Hall, and The Mike Batt Orchestra.
