Campaigners in a Argentina have lost their fight against the excessive use of agrochemicals in a landmark agricultural ruling.<br /><br />The trial, the first of its kind in Latin America was critical for Argentina’s economy as the world’s third-largest soybean exporter.<br /><br />Activists claimed the excessive use of chemical sprays were toxic to poorer communities residing near crop farms.<br /><br />It is hoped the ruling will open the debate for a review of fumigation policies. <br /><br />Al Jazeera’s Teresa Bo has more from Cordoba province in Argentina.
