The leaders of the rival Palestinian parties Hamas and Fatah have agreed to a new unity government.<br /><br />All previous attempts at unity have failed - but both sides say they are now committed to making this government work.<br /><br />After years of being based in the Syrian capital, Damascus, Hamas has now also pulled its last political representative out of Syria indicating severed ties with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad. <br /><br />Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, condemned Monday's deal, saying it will not negotiate with Hamas until it renounces violence.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Cal Perry reports from the west Bank.
