Flash flooding rushes through the city streets of Colombia's coastal city Barranquilla.<br/> <br />Two cars are swept away after creek water, swollen by hours of heavy, unabated rain rises up and causes panic.<br/> <br />Local media reported that some residents had become trapped in the surging flood waters with the body of one firefighter retrieved by authorities after he attended an emergency call.<br/> <br />Flood-prone Barranquilla does not have a rainwater drainage system, which means it is often affected by floods during the the Caribbean's hurricane season.<br/> <br />Authorities expect flooding to continue in the city as a strengthening Tropical Storm Isaac sweeps through the Caribbean Sea towards Florida.
