Hundreds of pro-democracy demonstrators speak out in the Yemeni capital Sanaa.<br />Armoured vehicles came on Sunday - Republican Guard units launching an assault on protesters calling for the <br />president to relinquish power by shooting tear gas and water canons at protesters.<br />Witnesses say they used live ammunition to disperse the crowds, and medical sources say that numerous demonstrators were killed.<br />President Ali Abdullah Saleh has also repeatedly abandoned an Arab-mediated deal to step aside.<br />But the cracks in his rule appear deeper with each passing day.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan reports.
