The Syrian government has threatened to retaliate after claiming that scores of its security forces were killed in attacks in and around the town of Jisr al-Shughour.<br /><br />State television says 120 people were killed when gangs of armed men ambushed government forces.<br /><br />But anti-government protesters in Syria say these are soldiers who were killed for refusing to open fire on demonstrators<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Rula Amin reports.
