Antonis Samaras, the Greek prime minister, is due to meet the German and French leaders on Friday to ask for a two year extension to his country's giant bailout programme. German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed the issue over dinner with French President Francois Hollande. Both warned Greece not to expect any special treatment.
